ChevronTexaco ISO 68 Utility Oil HVI
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Features

Chevron Utility Oil HVI is a high quality, high viscosity index uncompounded oil with excellent water separating characteristics.

Chevron Utility Oil HVI possesses good natural thermal and oxidation stability.

Its high viscosity index makes it suitable for use over a wide temperature range.

In a circulating oil system, compressor, or lightly loaded gear case, it will maintain a high film strength, protecting metal parts.

Lubricant-related deposits will be kept to a minimum due to the excellent stability of this oil.

System contaminants such as dirt and moisture can be easily removed from this oil by proper filtration.

Chevron Utility Oil HVI ISO 68 is registered with NSF and is acceptable as a lubricant where there is no possibility of food contact (H2) in and around food processing areas. The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements of appropriate use, ingredient review and labeling verification.

Applications

Chevron Utility Oil HVI is recommended:

  • for use in many circulating oil systems
  • • as a cylinder lubricant in double-acting reciprocating compressors
  • for the lubrication of both cylinders and running gears of single-acting compressors
  • for flushing lubricant systems, because of its compatibility
  • for hand oiling
Do not use Chevron Utility Oil HVI ISO 68 in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks and hot surfaces. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep container closed.
