Stanelco Bioplast® Wrap 100 Biodegradable Plastic
Categories: Polymer; Renewable/Recycled Polymer; Thermoplastic

Material Notes: Bioplast Wrap 100 is a plasticiser-free thermoplastic material which allows the production of films with coated paper-like properties.

Wrap 100 is an excellent, eco-friendly alternative to laminated paper plastics in deli type applications.

Wrap 100 has a monolayer construction, manufactured using potato flour and copolyester. Naturally white, Wrap 100 can be coloured, provided the pigments used are biodegradable. Films are also suitable for printing either by flexographic or offset printing without any requirement for pre-treatment.

Wrap 100 meets the requirements of EC Directive 2002/72/EU for food contact plastics and all ingredients are covered by existing FDA regulations or effective FCN's.

Products made using Wrap 100 resin are 100% biodegradable and depending on their thickness, compostable to EN13432 up to 98 micron (Din Certco Reg 7W0074)

Wrap 100 films are resistant to moisture, water and grease making it ideal for use in the following applications: deli, bakery and fast food wraps and bags. The excellent performance of Wrap 100 can be obtained with a monolayer film, giving it both economical and ecological advantages to multilayered films. Further advantages include: heat and ultrasonic sealability and shrinkability. Bioplast Wrap 100 polymer can be perfectly processed on standard blown film lines in thicknesses of 20-100 micron.
