LATI LATAMID 68 H2 G/30 30% Glass Fiber, Heat-Stabilized Nylon 66 Copolymer (Pac)  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA); Nylon 66 (PA66)

Material Notes: Description: Latamid 68 series of Nylon 66 copolymer (PAc) is produced with various reinforcements and corresponding properties. The properties featured by Nylon 68 lie half-way between those of Latamid 66 and Latamid 6, thus confirming their excellent flowability, moldability and good mechanical and electrical properties. Parts feature a glossy appearance as well as an excellent colorability, and can be painted without any particular problems. The Nylon 66 copolymer is a hygroscopic resin, although it will absorb water to a lower extent than Nylon 6. This may be an advantage as it improves flexibility and impact resistance properties, but in other cases, water absorption is likely to develop dimensional changes that are not always compatible with tight tolerance requirements. Furthermore, changes in mechanical properties resulting from water absorption will not always be acceptable. Thanks to their excellent bonding with glass fibers, the reinforced Latamid 68 engineering plastics feature the best performances as regards mechanical properties.

Specific Notes for this Material: 30% glass fiber; heat-stabilized; good rigidity and good general mechanical properties.
