Dow Buna® SB 1723 Cold polymerized Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber (E-SBR)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE); Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Material Notes: Buna® SB 1723 - Schkopau is manufactured by cold polymerization using mixed rosin acid / fatty acid soaps. It is plasticized with 37.5 parts of a TDAE oil in relation to solid rubber. A discoloring stabilizer is added during the production process. Buna® SB 1723 - Schkopau is a general purpose rubber. It can be processed in all sectors of the tire and rubber industry. The main application is tire production. It is supplied in bales weighing 25 kg. Bales are wrapped in 50 micron PE film. At mixing temperatures above 115°C, the rubber can be processed with the packaging film.
