Material Notes: Description: PLEXIGLAS® 7N is a molding compound based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Typical properties of PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds are:
  • good flow
  • high mechanical strength, surface hardness and abrasion resistance
  • high light transmission
  • excellent weather resistance
  • free colorability due to crystal clarity
The special properties of PLEXIGLAS® 7N compound are:
  • very good mechanical properties
  • high heat deflection temperature
  • very good flow / melt viscosity
  • AMECA listing
Application: Used for injection molding optical and technical items.

The former Evonik Methacrylates business has been sold to Röhm GmbH (Roehm).
