TriStar TriSteel AC Metal Backed PTFE Bearing System
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Acetal (Polyoxymethylene, POM); Fluoropolymer; Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)

Material Notes: Ultraflon 601 (AC) POM lined metal backed bearing system, boundary lubrication required, high PV. Ultraflon 601 POM Liner is a lubricant enhanced acetal material for use in lubricated or unlubricated environments. With lubrication, PV ratings can be met without limitations. Lubrication reservoirs are available on the liner to produce a constant storage and pumping action for better hydrodynamic film generation.

Vendors: TriStar Plastics Corp. provides engineering, custom fabrication and manufacturing of high-performance plastics and self-lubricating bearing materials, such as Rulon, PEEK, Torlon, CJ Composites and Ultracomp. Capabilities include component design, material selection, prototype and production, manufacturing and surface modification. Call (800) TRI-STAR (800) 874-7827 or visit or www.TStar.com
