Chemours Viton® A-700 with 65 phr N990 Carbon Black
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Fluoropolymer, TS; Thermoset Fluoroelastomer; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE)

Material Notes: Viton® A-700 is an “A-family” gum polymer that has demonstrated easy processing. This gum provides:
  • Improved compression set resistance
  • Good flow for compression molding
  • Good mold release
  • Less mold fouling
  • Improved compression set resistance
  • Improved tear properties

Applications:

  • Compression molding of O-rings, gaskets, and other sealing devices
  • Extruded cords, profiles and tubing, or calendered sheets, when a blend of gum polymers are used
  • Blending with other polymers for viscosity modification

Information provided by manufacturer.

Chemours was formed from former DuPont performance chemicals businesses, including the Viton product line, in 2015.
