Evonik Solimide® HT-340 Polyimide Foam
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyimide, Thermoplastic

Material Notes: Description: SOLIMIDE® foam marine insulation systems are used as thermal and acoustical insulation on military vessels around the world. In addition, SOLIMIDE® HT-340 polyimide foam is certified as a Fire-Restricting Material in accordance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) High Speed Craft code. The inherent fire resistance of SOLIMIDE® foam can provide a significant reduction in fire load and combustion products for acoustical and thermal insulation. Whether the marine application is military or commercial, literally tons of topside weight can be saved when SOLIMIDE® foams replace heavier fibrous insulation in such applications as hullboard, duct wrap and acoustic ceiling panels. Over 15 navies and many commercial operators around the world use SOLIMIDE® foam marine insulation systems on their vessels.
