Wacker Elastosil® LR 3141/50 A/B Liquid Silicone Rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber; Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)

Material Notes: Low oil-bleeding liquid silicone rubbers of the ELASTOSIL® LR 3841 series are paste-like, readily pigmentable two-component products with short curing times. Shortly after the curing process, a slight thin oil film with lubricating properties forms on the surface of the vulcanizates. The vulcanizates are opaque, have good mechanical and electrical properties and very low compression sets.

Properties The products can be used within a temperature range of - 55 °C to + 210 °C. The addition of heat stabilizers at service temperatures of more than 180 °C is recommended.

Application: ELASTOSIL® LR 3841/50 A/B is particularly suitable for the economical production of weather packs in the automotive industry. They are increasingly being used to produce cable and connector seals. As an oil film forms, seals can be fitted easily and fully automatically, even when tolerances are narrow.
