Material Notes: Microtherm® Super A is an alumina based form of Microtherm® high temperature thermal insulation. It is available in various densities and it is normally supplied without any coating or covering materials for final shaping or machining by the customer.
    Properties
  • Microporous insulation offering very low thermal conductivity at ultra high temperatures
  • Super A grade capable of continuous operation at temperatures up to 1150°C (2012°F)
  • Non combustible
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Free of harmful respirable fibers.
    Typical applications
  • Compact, ultra high temperature protection
  • Steel making - high temperature operating capability at slag line
  • SOFC Fuel Cells stack insulation - Microtherm® Super A Block can be used where Silica may contaminate stack components
