EconCore ThermHex THPP60-FN Polypropylene Honeycomb Core Sheet
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Composite Core Material; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polypropylene (PP)

Material Notes: The ThermHex core is produced from a single sheet by a thermoforming, a folding and a bonding operation. ThermHex honeycombs have closed skin strips, allowing perfect bonding of skins onto the core. ThermHex technology enables the cost efficient production of honeycomb cores from a wide range of thermoplastic polymers with a large variation in cell size, density and thickness.

The 100% polypropylene (PP) ThermHex honeycomb boards are especially applicable to reusable plastic transportation boxes and solutions in the logistics sector, such us for example durable and hygienic plastic pallets. Layer pads, dividers, protection panels are complementary applications. Honeycomb panels are also used in promotional materials because the PP boards are printable.

The surface finish of ThermHex FN grades are a 50 µm polypropylene film plus 40 g/m² nonwoven polyester fleece. Standard dimensions are 1.2 m x 2.5 m.
