  • Forms adherent, refractory double-oxide layer above 650°C
  • Highly anisotropic, undergoes allotropic transormation from hcp-structured alpha phase to bcc-structured beta phase at 865°C

Applications:

  • Inner lining of Zirconium alloy cladding tubes for Water-cooled Nuclear reactors
