Dow Nucrel® 30907 Ethylene Acid Copolymer Resin
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Ethylene Acrylic Acid

Material Notes: Nucrel® 30907 is an ethylene acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and extrusion laminating equipment designed to process polyethylene resin. This resin may also be used in conventional blown and cast film extrusion and coextrusion equipment.

Characteristics:

  • Excellent adhesion to unprimed foil.
  • Excellent adhesion to coextruded nylon.
  • For superior structure reliability and barrier integrity.
  • Very good hot tack, sealability through contamination, and heat seal strength for strong, reliable heat seals.
  • Lower melt index than Nucrel® 3990 to increase melt strength and to minimize neck-in during extrusion coating operation
  • Applications:

  • Sealants for sachets in both food and non-food applications.
  • Toothpaste tubes as a foil/LDPE tie layer.
  • Other foil-containing pouches and sachets.
  • Medical/pharmaceutical packaging.
  • Cable shield wrap.
