Akrochem Vulcan® 6-LP Carbon Black
Categories: Carbon; Carbon Black

Material Notes: Product Description: Carbon Blacks are the most utilized fillers in the Rubber Industry. Based on its cost and performance, no other filler can match the properties of carbon black. Used for nearly 100 years, carbon blacks have been reinforcing rubber compounds both physically and chemically. Cabot Corporation has been producing carbon blacks for nearly 120 years and is now the world leader in the manufacturing of this essential ingredient. As part of Cabot’s ongoing commitment to address changing marketplace needs and deliver solutions to meet our customers’ future product design and processing challenges, Cabot has developed a series of low polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) carbon blacks, identified by the suffix “LP.” The Cabot LP carbon black series is manufactured via a special process resulting in a controlled, very low level of PAH. Vulcan 6-LP carbon black is a member of the Cabot LP carbon black series. It is a pelletized reinforcing carbon black and is characterized by a controlled, very low PAH content.
