Master Bond Supreme 45HT-3 Two component, quartz filled epoxy system
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Very long open time
  • High temperature resistance
  • Exceptional compressive strength
  • Withstands abrasive forces
Product Description: Master Bond Supreme 45HT-3 is a two component, toughened epoxy system for high performance bonding, sealing and casting. It has a forgiving 100 to 15 mix ratio by weight. The working life after mixing is 12-24 hours and it provides moderate to high viscosity with good flow. The system requires oven curing at 250°F for 6 to 8 hours, or 4 to 6 hours at 350°F. The optimal cure schedule is 300°F for 2 to 3 hours, followed by a post cure at 350°F for 4 to 6 hours. It is 100% reactive without any solvents or diluents. Supreme 45HT-3 has very low linear as well as volumetric shrinkage upon curing. Supreme 45HT-3 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, ceramics and many different plastics. After curing, it has a number of desirable physical strength properties including a high modulus and exceptional compressive strength. It is a toughened system that can withstand rigorous thermal cycling. This epoxy excels in withstanding chemicals seen in downhole environments, be it acids, bases or solvents. The presence of the quartz filler confers enhanced dimensional stability and increased abrasion resistance. Supreme 45HT-3 is a reliable electrical insulator. It is a relatively high Tg epoxy with a service temperature range from -100°F to +550°F. The color of Part A is tan and Part B is brown. Everything considered, Supreme 45HT-3 is a versatile system that can be used in aerospace, electronic, oil and chemical processing, specialty OEM, and similar type applications.
