Product Description: Rubbermakers Sulfur MC-98 is a treated grade of sulfur used to vulcanize rubber compounds. Sulfur tends to re-agglomerate and the magnesium carbonate treatment acts as a parting agent improving dispersibility, reducing caking and hard particles. MC-98 is critical for sulfur dispersion in nitriles. Sulfur is normally difficult to disperse in NBR and MC-98 will provide the needed dispersion. Any polymer that requires good quality sulfur dispersion (e.g., dynamic flexing parts, colored parts that display brown dots of poorly dispersed sulfur, or parts that have inconsistent cured properties) will benefit from the 325-mesh fineness of MC-98 Sulfur.Information provided by Akrochem Corporation |
