Mallard Creek Polymers RoveneĀ® 4489 Carboxylated Styrene-Butadiene Emulsion
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE); Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Material Notes: Rovene 4489 is recommended for carpet applications that require excellent strength properties. Rovene 4489 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. Rovene 4489 imparts good wet/dry tensile strength, and has good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. This adhesion contributes to the good tuft binds and excellent delaminations in carpet applications. Rovene 4489 is a low VOC containing latex that is crosslinkable with external crosslinkers.

Markets: Textiles

Applications: Textile Backcoatings, Carpet Backcoatings

Related Products: Rovene 4402, Rovene 4470, Rovene 4150, Rovene 4487
