Cabot LITX® 50 Conductive Additive
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Performance conductive additive for lithium-ion batteries
LITX 50 high performance conductive additive for Li-ion batteries balances the need for conductivity and easy processing. LITX 50 conductive additive is primarily used in positive electrodes in loadings ranging from 1-10%, but it can also be used on negative electrodes. Due to its unique morphology, LITX 50 conductive additive requires less solvent during the preparation of electrode pastes which not only enables processing advantages, but often also leads to improved electrode adhesion. These attributes make it a good choice for various Li-ion battery applications that require balance between performance, quality and cost.
Incorporating LITX 50 conductive additive into electrode paste can:
  • Enable higher solids loadings
  • Reduce amount of solvent and conductive additive required
  • Provide higher packing density
  • Improve performance at low temperatures
Battery Applications:
  • Hybrid electric vehicles
  • Tablets
  • Smartphones
  • Power tools
