Cabot MONARCH® 1400 Specialty Carbon Black
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: MONARCH 1400 specialty carbon black imparts high masstone jetness and is suitable for use in automotive and industrial liquid and powder coating applications.
Application Information
Coatings: MONARCH 1400 specialty carbon black is suitable for use in liquid and powder coatings that require strong color properties, such as those used in automotive base coats. It exhibits higher color strength and blue undertone characteristics in both solvent and aqueous systems in comparison to competitive carbon black products. MONARCH 1400 specialty carbon black disperses as other pigments with similarly high surface area do. The dispersibility of MONARCH 1400 specialty carbon black also depends on the equipment used and the formulation. A product with similar morphology, BLACK PEARLS 1400 specialty carbon black, is available in an easier to handle pelleted form.

Performance Features :

  • High jetness
  • High blue undertone
