Properties: Density (on 20?) is 1.48 g/cm3. The loosen density is approx 0.32~0.36 g/cm3. Soluble in chloroform, benzene, and carbon disulfide, slightly soluble in alcohol and gasoline, insoluble in water.

Applications: As a kind of super accelerator used to natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber. Commonly, using with some other kind of accelerators such as benzothiazole, sulfenamide. A fast velocity at vulcanizing temperature can be obtained, and in tensile can be increased. Suitable for making inner tube of tires, soft tube, isolating layer of wire and cable, etc.. Don’t use for manufacturing the products contacting with foods. TDEC is regulated for use in articles in contact with food as specified under BgVV XXI, Category 4.
