Ohara WMS-15 Glass Ceramic Substrate
Categories: Ceramic; Machinable Ceramic

Material Notes: WMS-15 glass-ceramic substrates enable production of DWDM and Gain-Flattening Filters. WMS substrates facilitate the production of filters with extremely low thermal wavelength drift and low insertion loss values. WMS-15 has improved internal transmittance and exceptionally low surface roughness values. It is superior for machining - less edge chipping on the filters than amorphous glass substrates. It has a very high thermal expansion coefficient and excellent chemical resistance.
