Material Notes: PE-UHMW, often also called PE-1000, has very good sliding and wear properties. The molecular mass (weight) ranges from around 4.5 to 9.0 · 106 g/mol. This material combines excellent wear resistance with exceptional impact resistance, even at temperatures below –200°C. Due to its really low moisture absorption, PE-UHMW is particularly dimensionally stable.
