Material Notes: Acetron® VMX Polyoxymethylene POM-C FG (Food Grade) is a visual, metal, and x-ray detectable, copolymer acetal grade that provides a unique combination of outstanding mechanical and impact strength, stiffness, and chemical resistance. Due to the addition of specific additives to this formulation, it can be easily traced by conventional metal and x-ray detection systems, making it a favored solution for the global food processing and packaging industry. As a EU 10/2011 and compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470 compliant material, Acetron® VMX POM-C FG allows food processors and packagers to gain the efficiencies that polymer materials provide, while also preventing potential foreign contamination issues that can lead to costly recalls.
