Ensinger PEI

Ipiranga Petrochem LB 0316 LLDP
Categories: Polymer; Film; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Linear Low Density (LLDPE); Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), Extrusion Grade

Material Notes: IPQ produces Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) for use by plastics molding industry segments that employ extrusion processes in the manufacturing of films destined for producing bobbins and bags.

IPQ employs Spherilene technology from Montell/Italy in the production of LLDPE. The raw materials, which are supplied by COPESUL, are pre-treated and fed into gas-phase reactors, where linear low density polyethylene globe-shaped grains are obtained. These grains are sent to the extrusion site, where stabilizers are added to them. The grains are turned into pellets by an extruding press. Next, they are sent to storage silos, and then to the packaging site. This technology uses state-of-the-art techniques to control the entire production process, thus ensuring the quality of the products that are marketed.

Applications:

  • insulation of cables and wires
