PBI Performance Products S10 Thermal Resistant Polybenzimidazole Coating
Categories: Fluid; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polybenzimidazole (PBI)

Material Notes: Polybenzimidazole (PBI) solutions are suitable products for film casting, dip coating, spray coating and resin impregnation. PBI can be firmly adhered to steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, nickel- chromium, glass, ceramics and plastics. PBI coatings are highly resistant to heat and chemical attack. PBI will provide electrical insulation and wear resistance.
S10 is a solution containing nominally 10% w/w PBI solids in dimethylacetamide (DMAc) to form a 120 cP solution. This PBI solution is ready to use for coatings.
S10 PBI solution should be kept sealed and dry at 45°F until use. Curing requires thermal evaporation of the carrier solvent dimethylacetamide and condensation of the resin
