Dow Nucrel® 910 Ethylene-Methacrylic Acid Copolymer Resin for Extrusion Coating/Laminating
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Ethylene Methyl Acrylate; Ethylene-Methyl Acrylate Copolymer, Coating Grade

Material Notes: 8.7 wt% Methacrylic Acid.

Nucrel® 0910 is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and extrusion laminating equipment designed to process polyethylene resins.

Features/Benefits vs. Nucrel® 0609HS: Better adhesion to unprimed foil, paper and metallized film provides better substrate protection, improved structure reliability, and barrier integrity. This product provides good, but lower adhesion to PE. Lower seal initiation temperature allows higher speed packaging. Better hot tack, sealability through contamination, and heat seal strength provides stronger, more reliable heat seals.

Typical Applications: Foil-containing shampoo, toothpaste, towelette, condiment and miscellaneous non-food pouches and sachets; Medical/pharmaceutical packaging; Snack structures; Toothpaste tubes; Cable shield wrap; Aseptic and hot-fill liquid cartons; Other foil, metallized film, or paper coatings as a heat seal or tie layer.
