Material Notes: Kao-Tex 1800 Cloth is a flexible, high-silica fabric with outstanding thermal insulation characteristics. Kao-Tex 1800 is 96% SiO2 fabric manufactured by an acid-leaching process. Kao-Tex 1800 is totally inorganic and does not smoke when exposed to heat.

Kao-Tex 1800 is primarily used in hot work such as welding and burning operations. It is also useful for thermal and electrical insulation in stress-relieving. Kao-Tex 1800 is available in a wide variety of fabricated forms including curtains, seals, pads, and hemmed blankets.
