Premix Thermoplastics PREADD AB 171
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); Low Density (LDPE)

Material Notes: PREADD AB 171 is an antiblock masterbatch based on synthetic silicate with PE-LD as the carrier polymer. PREADD AB 171 has been developed for applications where an antiblock or matting effect is desired – typically it is being used in the manufacture of polyethylene films.

Due to the good dispersion, purity and fineness of the silicate used, a good antiblocking effect can be achieved already at addition levels of 0.5 %. When using PREADD AB 171 for film matting, an addition of 5-10% is recommended. This addition level does not yet affect negatively on the mechanical properties of the product.

PREADD AB 171 is approved for use in contact with foodstuffs according to FDA and BgVV regulations without limitations.
