Material Notes: Description: Conoco Trolley Wire Lube is a high-quality, semifluid, lithium-base grease specifically developed for the lubrication of mine trolley wires and shoes. With proper maintenance and frequent relubrication intervals, it extends the life of the wires and the sliders while keeping downtime and operating expenses to a minimum. Trolley Wire Lube is formulated with high-viscosity-index paraffinic base oils and lithium 12-hydroxy stearate soap stock. It is fortified with 10 wt. % graphite to reduce friction between the slider and the cable and extend cable life. Trolley Wire Lube can be applied by a trolley wire brush applicator box, or it can be pumped to the wire by a direct grease line through a centralized grease system. Its special friction-reducing property allows for less frequent application than other similar products.
