Vinnolit® P 70 PVC for Paste Application
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Vinyl (PVC)

Material Notes: Vinnolit® P 70 PVC for paste application. Vinnolit® P 70 is a fine grained homopolymer for plastisol processing giving low-viscosity plastisols with an excellent shelf life. Vinnolit® P 70 pastes with a medium plasticizer content show a Newtonian rheology at low shear rates (Brookfield) and moderate dilatant rheology at high shear rates. The dilatancy can readily be reduced or even eliminated by blending with extender resins such as Vinnolit EXT or special emulsion grades. Vinnolit® P 70 has outstanding water resistance and high hermostability/weatherability and is thus ideally suited for long term outdoor applications, e.g., textile constructions, roofing sheets, tarpaulins, awnings, coil coating, decorative films and, owing to its high transparency, for transparent top coats. The core properties of Vinnolit® P 70 are: high transparency and crystal clear films, glossy homogeneous surface, neutral own-color and very good thermostability, excellent weathering properties, lowest water absorption tendency, Newtonian flow characteristic, very low initial viscosity, easy paste handling (deaeration, dispensability, low maturation), no yield point, best adhesion on textile surfaces, good miscibility with extender - or blending, resins, good metal adhesion, very good pot life and storage stability, very fine particles.
