Pyrotek Ceramite® T-W Wet Sprayable Shotcrete Refractory
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide

Material Notes: Ceramite® T-W is a sprayable refractory which is applied on-site, and works well for patching or applications where installation speed is important. After being sprayed it sets quickly and has high abrasion resistance during use. The Ceramite T-W formula is based on a blend of bauxite and silicon carbide. The fully cured material supports a maximum service temperature up to 1000°C (1832°F). Ceramite T-W is installed using a wet spraying process, also known as shotcreting. This process incorporates applying a pre-moistened refractory aggregate rather than a dry aggregate. The refractory’s strength and material consistency are achieved by using a pump device and compressed air to propel the wet refractory from a hopper, through a hose and nozzle and onto the work surface.

Benefits:

  • Adheres to most surfaces
  • Fast setting
  • High wear and temperature resistance
  • Quick installation
  • Can be installed with standard shotcrete equipment
  • Low rebound rates
Applications:
  • Chutes
  • Ducts
  • Hoppers
  • Wall linings
