Material Notes: Product Description: Cyphrex™ 10003 microfiber is a round 4.5 micron diameter by 3.0 mm length, sub-denier PET fiber provided in wet pulp form. Cyphrex™ satisfies the ever-increasing performance needs for demanding rolled goods and media markets—especially for customers who benefit from precision and uniformity in their wetlaid nonwovens. Cyphrex™ integrates easily into existing wetlaid processes, taking your design capabilities to the next level. Unlike many other synthetic fibers, Cyphrex microfiber pulps are also compatible with other fiber materials such as cellulosics and glass. The 2.5-micron (0.06-denier) round PET Cyphrex™ fibers can be blended with other Cyphrex™ fibers or other furnish components, allowing manufacturers to pinpoint permeability and control pore size. This results in greater precision and consistency for targeted functionality. Cyphrex™ brings together world-class technology and a proprietary microfiber process that lets Eastman produce synthetic microfibers in unique combinations of sizes, shapes and materials.
