BASF Master Builders Solutions ChemRex® CX-25 Polyurethane Adhesive/Sealant  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Polyurethane, TS; Thermoset Polyurethane, Adhesive

Material Notes: CX-25 is a polyurethane based one-component, moisture curing adhesive/sealant. It provides fast cure, non-sag, excellent adhesion and has elastomeric properties with high strength which can reduce/eliminate mechanical fasteners.

Typical applications of CX-25 include sealing of interior /exterior joints, waterproofing overlap seams, bonding roof bows and floors, bonding or sealing side posts, bonding vehicle trim and side molding, bonging diamond-bead plates, and bonding/sealing compartment doors.

Tack-free time is 35 minutes ± 5 minutes given the ASTM C 679 test method. Sag resistance is excellent given the ASTM C 639 test method. The tear strength is 50 pits ± 5 pits given the ASTM D 1044 test method. Lap shear strength is 160 psi ± 10 psi given the ASTM D 1002 test method. Bond durability on glass, aluminum, and concrete is 12.5 % given the ASTM C 719 test method. No degradation occurs after 3000 hours of testing using the accelerated weathering Atlas 6500 Xenon arc model.
