A. Schulman Diamond Diamaloy Centrex ST4800 TPE/ABS Alloy, Soft Touch Resin  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; ABS Polymer; Elastomer, TPE

Material Notes: Diamaloy ST4600 material is an alloy of thermoplastics elastomers and ABS, specifically designed to provide a low gloss look and soft touch feel in applications where it is co-extruded or laminated over a ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) substrate. Diamaloy ST4600 has excellent durability and chemical resistance as well as improved sound dampening when used as a cap over ABS.

Applications: Diamaloy ST4600 alloy resin is recommended for use in interior parts that will have limited exposure to direct UV light such as dashboards, panels and trim. As with any product, use of Diamaloy ST4600 resin in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability. The use of Diamaloy ST4600 as the carrier resin for color concentrates is imperative in order to maintain the proper look, feel, and physical performance of the finished product. DIAMOND POLYMERS recommends the Diamaloy ST4600 cap layer should be a minimum of 20 mils in the final part, after thermoforming.

A. Schulman has acquired Network Polymers & Diamond Polymers.
