ChevronTexaco URSA® SAE 20 Extra Duty
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils deliver value through:
  • Excellent high temperature deposit control. Protects against high temperature oxidation and oil thickening.
  • Special extreme pressure antiwear properties protect critical valve train wear points. Minimizes hydraulic pump wear.
  • Low sulfated ash level that minimizes the oils contribution to combustion chamber deposits, valve deposits, and stuck or broken rings.
  • Low wear rates that assure long equipment life and high mileage between overhauls.
  • Preservation of new engine performance for prolonged periods of time resulting from additives that protect highly loaded parts from scuffing and wear.
  • Protection against rust, corrosion, varnish, and sludge. Keeps oil screens, filters, and rings clean and free for prolonged periods.
  • Extensive field testing and service use — These products have a proven track record of meeting customer requirements.

Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils are high performance crankcase oils for diesel engines.

They are manufactured using selected premium paraffinic base oils and detergent, dispersant, wear control, antioxidant, corrosion inhibitor, and foam suppressant additives.

Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils are formulated to:

  • Reduce the formation of piston deposits and varnish resulting from high temperature operation and sludge typical of low engine temperature service.
  • Protect against wear, rust, and corrosion.
  • Reduce oil thickening due to excellent high temperature oxidation stability.
  • Maintain clean engines for long trouble-free life.

Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils are recommended for use in two- and four-stroke diesel engines in farm machinery, construction equipment, marine, and other off-highway applications.

Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils utilize the latest technology to provide excellent performance in older engines using either normal, high or low sulfur diesel fuels.

The SAE 20 and 30 grades can be used in powershift transmissions requiring Caterpillar TO-2 oils. This grade can also be used in mobile hydraulic systems where excellent EP antiwear protection is needed.

The SAE 30 and 40 grades are also specifically recommended for use in two-stroke diesel engines requiring highly effective control of wear and deposits. Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils:

  • Meet API Service Categories
    • CF-2, CD-II1 (SAE 30, 40, 50)
    • CF, CD1
  • Performance requirements of
    • Allison C4 Fluids (SAE 10W, 30, 40)
    • Vickers Pump Test (SAE 10W)
  • Manufacturers performance requirements
    • General Motors GM 6094-M
  • Comply with Detroit Diesel Corporation twostroke engine recommendations, including the 0.85% ash maximum limit for Series 149 engines.

Texaco Ursa Extra Duty oils meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) as H2 lubricants for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants as H2 lubricants where no food contact will occur.

Typical test data are average values only. Minor variations which do not affect product performance are to be expected in normal manufacturing.
