ExxonMobil Mobil 1 Racing 2T Motorcycle Oil 2-Cycle
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant

Material Notes: Mobil 1 Motorcycle Oils are formulated with 100 percent synthetic fluids. The unique, synthetic structure of the Mobil 1 Motorcycle formulations enable them to offer advantages well beyond conventional motorcycle oils of similar viscosities. For example, conventional base oils change viscosity as the temperature changes, much more so than synthetic fluids. This characteristic forces manufacturers of conventional, multigrade motorcycle oils to use additive thickeners which will help the oil maintain its viscosity as temperature increases. These thickeners can shear down and lose their thickening capacity in an operating engine or transmission. Synthetic fluids do not require much thickener to achieve a multigrade viscosity rating and, in some cases, do not require any thickener. Hence, synthetic formulations will provide a more shear stable, protective oil film for engine bearings, piston rings, transmission gears, etc. than will a conventional oil of a similar viscosity grade. All three Mobil 1 Motorcycle formulations offer excellent flow characteristics at low temperatures to reduce engine wear at start-up, and outstanding resistance to oxidation and/or volatilization at high temperatures, both of which degrade the oil. Further, the Mobil 1 Motorcycle Oils provide outstanding protection against engine wear under high-temperature, high engine speed conditions. Each of the Mobil 1 Motorcycle product formulations have been optimized to meet the unique performance characteristics demanded by motorcycle engines and thus, provide an even higher level of performance and protection for motorcycle engines than the Mobil 1 Automotive engine oils.

Mobil 1 Motorcycle Oils are full synthetic, high-performance engine oils formulated specifically to meet the demanding needs of motorcycle engines. Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 is designed primarily for on-road, high-performance, 4-cycle sport bikes, however, it may be used in other types of on and off-road 4-cycle motorcycles. Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 is formulated to offer outstanding protection in 4-cycle, V-Twin type engines, particularly those which are air cooled and tend to run hotter than other types of engines. Mobil 1 MX2T is a full-synthetic 2-cycle engine oil which provides exceptional lubricity to help prevent piston scuffing, and excellent protection against exhaust port clogging, in high-performance, 2-cycle motorcycle engines. Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 and Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 are recommended for 4-cycle, motorcycles which specify the use of a 10W-40 or a 20W-50 engine oil, respectively. These products will provide excellent performance in motorcycle engines that are designed with a common engine/transmission lubrication system or where the engine lubrication system is separate from the transmission system. In the case of the latter, follow the manufacturers recommendation for the type of fluid to be used in the transmission. Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 and Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 engine oils are also designed to provide the proper frictional characteristics necessary for wet-clutch engine/transmission systems. Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 and Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 exceed the requirements of API Service Categories SH, SG/CF, CD and have been fully tested, both on laboratory dynamometers and in the field, to provide optimum horsepower and acceleration. Mobil 1 MX2T is recommended for 2-cycle motorcycle engines which specify the use of a pre-mix, 2-cycle engine oil. The manufacturers recommendation for fuel oil ratio should be followed when mixing Mobil 1 MX2T with the fuel. This product is race proven around the world and will provide outstanding lubricity and thermal stability under extreme high-temperature, high-engine speed operating conditions in any 2-cycle, motorcycle engine. Further, Mobil 1 MX2T will help minimize spark plug fouling and exhaust smoke. Mobil 1 MX2T exceeds the API TC, JASO FC and proposed ISO-L-EGD, 2-cycle engine oil performance levels.
