Ultramoll® V HV is a high viscosity polymeric plasticizer for use in a large number of polymers, e.g. polyvinyl chloride (PVC), VC copolymers, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), and polyurethane (PU). Chemical composition: adipic acid polyester Product Ultramoll® V HV is a high viscosity, high molecular weight adipic acid polyester plasticizer. By virtue of its composition and high molecular weight, the low-volatile Ultramoll® V HV imparts special properties to plasticized products. PVC plasticized with Ultramoll® V HV is - resistant to extraction by oil, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and water
- migration-resistant in contact with other plastics and paints
- lightfast
- soft and flexible even after prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures.
Applications: Ultramoll® V HV can be used as a plasticizer in a wide variety of polymers, especially polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The high molecular weight Ultramoll® V HV was specially developed for applications where greater resistance to extraction and higher migration resistance is needed than that which could be achieved with a different lower molecular polymeric plasticizer. Possible areas of applications are extrudates like oil and petrol-resistant films, hoses, cables and conveyor belts, injection moldings like boots, shoes and soles for applications requiring petrol and oil resistance and miscellaneous like adhesives, sealants, printing inks, calendered and cast films.Information provided by Lanxess. |
