Wacker Wacker® E 1656 Silicone Fluid Emulsion
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone

Material Notes: Product description: WACKER® E 1656 is an oil-in-water emulsion of an aminofunctional polydimethylsiloxane. WACKER® E 1656 is stabilized by nonionic emulsifiers. Therefore, combination of WACKER® E 1656 with other emulsions is facilitated in many cases.

Application WACKER® E 1656 can be used best in car polishes, e.g., in paint conditioners, paint polishes and vinyl conditioners. In paint conditioners and paint polishes both gloss level and detergent resistance are improved. WACKER® E 1656 is especially useful for the making of vinyl conditioners. Due to the polar aminofunctions of the emulsion's active, the protective polish film adheres extremely well to the substrate surface which results in that gloss and depth of image are retained for a longer period of time. In combination with emulsions based on polydimethylsiloxanes, e.g. WACKER® E 1044, the characteristics of vinyl conditioners can be exactly adjusted with regard to gloss and depth of image.
