Material Notes:	Applications ALATHON L 5008 is a high molecular weight high density polyethylene copolymer resin with broad and bimodal molecular weight distribution. Regulatory Status When L 5008 is compounded with an Equistar approved black concentrate it meets the following standards and classifications: Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) PE3408 Standard Grade for pipe applications at 1600 psi HDB at 73°F (23°C). Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) PE4608 (E4) Grade for pipe applications at 1000 psi HDB at 140°F (60°C). NSF Standard 14 and Standard 61 for Potable Water Pipe and Fittings. ASTM D 3350 Cell Classification 445564C. Processing Specific recommendations for processing conditions can be made only when the equipment, conditions, and end use are known. This product is from the former Equistar product line.
