Abatron AboCast 10-5/AboCure 50-17 Epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy, Cast, Unreinforced

Material Notes: AboCast 10-5 is a filled, high-viscosity epoxy resin. It is blended with AboCure 50-17 to make a structural adhesive and casting compound for the optic and electric industry. AboCure 50-17 is a high-temperature, chemical resistant, and high-modulus liquid converter. AboCast 10-5/AboCure 50-17 has the highest modulus, hardness, heat resistance, and chemical resistance in the AboCast 10-5 series. It allow the largest castings, over 5 gallons per pouring. This system has far higher resistance to strong solvents and other chemical agents than the other compounds. This blend's main advantages are: it has low-viscosity and is very slow, very hard, high heat resistant, chemical resistant, and is used for large castings. It also is dielectric and offers good adhesion, virtually no shrinkage, and high resistance to alkalis, diluted acids, water, many solvents, and outdoors.
