Material Notes: Features

Chevron Starting Fluid is a special, volatile, cold-starting aid for internal combustion engines. Chevron Starting Fluid is intended for two-stroke and four-stroke gasoline engines. It also works in diesel engines without glow plugs.

It has a very high cetane number and contains a light oil for upper cylinder lubrication. Chevron Starting Fluid has one of the highest ether contents on the market.

Applications

Chevron Starting Fluid gets engines running when conditions of temperature, humidity, or altitude prevent them from starting. It can be used in all tyes of engines except those with electrical or external air heaters. It is also applicable in other engines such as lawn mower, leaf blower, chain saws in storage or intermittent use.

Chevron Starting Fluid is sprayed into the engine intake air system for a short burst of 2-3 seconds. Immediately start the engine. It starts most engines in 10 seconds, even down to -46°C (-50°F). For convenience in diesel engines equipped with glow plugs (refer to owners manual.
