Wacker Elastosil® LR 6297F/LR 6295F Liquid Silicone Rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber; Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)

Material Notes: Product description: ELASTOSIL® LR 6297F/LR 6295F Liquid Silicone Rubber is a one-component, solventless liquid silicone rubber system that cures rapidly upon heating to a tough silicone rubber. It has been formulated primarily as a high strength, high durometer fabric coating with excellent flame retardance.

Special features:

  • -100% solids
  • Good adhesion
  • Excellent fire retardancy
  • High tensile strength
  • Excellent edgecomb resistance
  • Dry surface - low coefficient of friction
Application: Cure is accomplished by simply mixing in 2 part of crosslinker V24. Oven cure at 150 C-200°C (302 F- 392°F) for one to six minutes depending on oven, coating thickness and type of fabric used. Curing may be retarded and prevented by nitrogen compounds such as amines and amides, sulfur compounds, anti-aging additives and other additives in rubbers and plastics. Therefore, a materials compatibility test is always recommended.
