Chesterton 775 Moisture Shield
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: Description: Chesterton® 775 Moisture Shield is a moisture displacing, clear protective coating that protects parts and equipment from corrosion for months. Sprayed on bare metal, it leaves a lubricative film that resists oxidation and prevents flash rusting during storage and transit. The product quickly penetrates into working joints to provide protection from moisture and condensation. It actually dries out metal by displacing or creeping under moisture present on parts without affecting electrical characteristics. It is highly effective after floods and in humid conditions. With the increased emphasis on water soluble machining fluids and aqueous degreasing systems, concern has arisen as to the protection of parts and equipment from flash rusting white in storage. A quick dip in 775 Moisture Shield leaves a thin film which will protect for months indoors against dirt, corrosion and finger printing.

Features:

  • Conforms to Military Specification MIL-C-16173D Corrosion Preventative, Grade 3
  • Clear Transparent Film
  • Moisture Displacing
  • Excellent Corrosion Protection
  • Penetrates Fine Tolerances
  • High Dielectric Strength
  • NSF H2 – Registration number 134015 (aerosol)

Applications: Excellent cost effective metal protection for parts in storage or transit. Dries out soaked electrical systems and keeps them dry in moist environments. Excellent for use in the marine industry where moisture is a constant.
