Material Notes: Uniplex 165 is an effective plasticizer for imparting low temperature flexibility to various polymers. It is compatible with cellulose esters, polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), vinyl chloride vinyl acetate copolymers (VCVAC) and rubber. Uniplex 165 is suggested as a solvent respectively plasticizer in fingernail enamel, nail enamel remover, hair sprays, adhesives, and coatings.

Chemical composition: Di-isobutyl adipate (DiBA)

General Uniplex 165 is an effective plasticizer for imparting low temperature flexibility to various polymers. Uniplex 165 is suggested as a solvent respectively plasticizer in cosmetics, adhesives, and coatings. It is compatible with cellulose esters inclusive cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) and cellulose nitrate (CN), polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), vinyl chloride vinyl acetate copolymers (VCVAC), and rubber (CR, EVA).

Applications: Uniplex 165 is characterized by a good compatibility with a large number of polymers. It is an effective plasticizer for imparting low temperature flexibility, with a good balance of solvation and low temperature properties. Uniplex 165 is suggested as a solvent respectively plasticizer in fingernail enamel, nail enamel remover, hair sprays, adhesives, and coatings. Uniplex 165 has a very low viscosity and a high volatility. Uniplex 165 is used when US regulations and recommendations governing food contacting applications need to be met.
