Unifrax PC Series™ 400 Paper Ceramic Fiber Filtration Media
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: PC (Porosity Controlled) Series™ Papers perform the following critical functions in all types of pyrotechnic automotive airbag inflator filters: (1) Provide efficient filtration of effluent gas by removing particulate matter through condensation and adhesion and mechanical entrapment. (2) Through the removal of high heat capacity particulate matter, these aluminosilicate filtration media significantly cool the gas stream before it enters the bag. (3) Consistently regulate gas flow into the bag ensuring conformance to the planned deployment sequence.

PC 400 Series filtration media are characterized by their high basis weight and midrange resistance. These products are value engineered to supplant multiple layers, thereby offering our customers the ability to maintain ballistic transparency and lower their overall filter costs.
