Ultramoll® V is a viscous polymeric plasticizer for a large number of polymers, e.g. polyvinyl chloride (PVC), VC copolymers, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), and polyurethane (PU). Chemical composition: adipic acid polyester Product Ultramoll® V is a viscous polymeric plasticizer for a large number of polymers, e.g. polyvinyl chloride (PVC), VC copolymers, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), and polyurethane (PU). By virtue of its composition and high molecular weight, the low-volatile Ultramoll® V imparts special properties to plasticized products. PVC plasticized with Ultramoll® V is - resistant to extraction by oil, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and water
- migration-resistant in contact with other plastics and paints
- lightfast
- soft and flexible even after prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures.
Applications: Ultramoll® V can be used as a plasticizer in a wide variety of polymers, especially polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It was specially developed for applications where extraction and migration resistance to oils, fats, polymers and aqueous liquids and sun-light resistant properties are required. Possible areas of applications are: Extrusion: Oil and petrol-resistant film, hoses, cables and conveyor belts Injection molding: Boots, shoes and soles for applications requiring petrol and oil resistanceVarious: Adhesives, sealants, printing inks, calendered and cast films.Information provided by Lanxess. |
