Wacker Wacker® SG 3380 Silicone Surfactant
Categories: Fluid; Polymer

Material Notes: SG 3380 SAMPLE is a 100% polysiloxance polyethylene glycol copolymer. Because of its special structure SG 3380 SAMPLE exhibits unique high surface activity, which allows it to wet and spread effectively on nearly any surface. It is designed to provide the user with a combination of uses not possible with conventional organic surfactants. SG 3380 SAMPLE can be used in aqueous and nonaqueous systems. SG 3380 SAMPLE is a trisiloxane superwetting molecule having organofunctional groups in terminal positions with hydroxyl end capping. This results in a multifunctional polydimethylsiloxanes. The functional groups are bonded to the polydimethylsiloxane by chemically inert alkylene spacer groups, which are stable to hydrolysis.

Application: SG 3380 SAMPLE is particularly suitable in numerous applications, including: coating to improve coefficient or friction and leveling properties. Due to SG 3380 SAMPLE low surface tension it can yield high wetting, while also enhancing lubricity, sheen, gloss, anticaking, static suppressing, antifoaming and moderate profoaming. It also demonstrates surfactancy properties that are of benefit in multiple other end applications. It is 100% concentrated, economical, and has low toxicity.
