Petromont 7002 Medium Density Polyethylene Resin  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyethylene (PE); High Density (HDPE); High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Injection Molded; Medium Density (MDPE)

Material Notes: Petromont HDPE 7002 is a medium-density polyethylene hexene modified resin with an excellent balance of chemical resistance and durability. It is designed to be readily processed by flat die extrusion equipment.

Petromont HDPE 7002 is an unpigmented polyethylene compound which, after proper incorporation of carbon black, may be used for geomembrane applications, such as liners for landfills and surface impoundments, where polyethylene is the material of choice. Comprehensive information on such facilities is available in documents issued by the U.S.A EPA.

When Petromont HDPE 7002, containing sufficient stabilizers, is properly processed into sheet, installed and seamed, the resulting liner is expected to provide excellent resistance to aqueous chemicals and solvents as well as to stress cracking. Sheet made in this way from Petromont HDPE 7002 can be expected to pass the physical property requirements of the GM-13 of GRI (Geosynthetic Research Institute) for Flexible Membrane Liners.
