| SILFOAM® SD 850 is an anhydrous, low-viscosity, readily dispersible and relatively alkali-resistant organo-modified antifoam agent with good deaeration characteristics. Application: Because of its structure, SILFOAM® SD 850 can be used for defoaming surfactant-containing formulations or for foam suppression in processes that use surfactants, with a significant reduction in undesirable secondary effects, such as incompatibility, rapid exhaustion or low alkali resistance. SILFOAM® SD 850 is suitable primarily for the following applications: - Alkaline processes in the textiles industry (bleaching, washing, dyeing, etc.).
- Surfactant-containing compositions in which the defoamer is required to be highly compatible, for example, liquid detergents and cleaning agents.
