Although general purpose ABS have good enough mechanical properties for the practical use in terms of processability, impact strength, etc, its use is sometimes limited at high temperature due to the deformation of its molded products by heat. So High Heat Resistant ABS(HR0370) offers an attractive alternative to general purpose ABS and other engineering plastics making it suitable for the Applications designed for the use at high temperature. Applications: Automotive interior, Cockpit module parts, Power window, Switch panel, Pull handle, Console. Drying: Drying prior to processing is recommended in a desiccant dehumidifying hopper dryer. An inlet air dew point of -20°F (-29°C) or below is recommended to achieve a moisture content 0.1%. Typical drying conditions are 2 hours at 180° - 190°F (82° - 88°C). Drying for 4 hours at 160° - 170°F (71°-77°C) is also adequate.Information provided by Tabriz Petrochemical Company. |
